12 Days educational experience
DAY 1: NAIROBI
On arrival in Nairobi, you will be met and greeted at the Airport by our Team representatives. They will help you with your luggage and settle you in your transfer vehicles. Once you are all settled in your vehicles, you will be accompanied and transferred to your Hotel. In the evening of this day depending on your flight time you will have dinner at the famous Carnivore Restaurant! After dinner you will be returned to the hotel for overnight.
DAY 2: NAIROBI CITY TOUR
In the morning after your breakfast, you will be picked up by your Driver/Guide and depart for a city tour of Nairobi. This tour will take you through a rich history, culture and art. A visit to the David Sheldrick Orphanage – you will come close to elephant calves! David Sheldrick Conservation Foundation rehabilitates baby elephants and other wildlife here at their home just outside Nairobi National Park. At 1100 hrs you will enjoy viewing the feeding of the elephants. Lunch will be served at the Karen Blixen House. This is house with a spell bounding rich history of Love. After lunch, proceed to the National Museum, well known for its spell binding exhibits and displays of early man and tribal regalia. Finally visit the parliament buildings and the Railway station and realize the evolution of the railway system in Kenya. In the late evening, drive back to Panari hotel sightseeing the city and its environment to arrive late in the evening for your dinner and overnight.

DAY 3: LAKE MAGADI.
In the morning, you will have early breakfast. After breakfast, at 0630hrs your Driver/Guides will be ready at the hotels Reception. With picnic lunch boxes, you will depart to drive to Lake Magadi. This lake is a natural wonder with a scientific rich back ground. The visit to this lake will take you to the Ologesailie a prehistoric site where you will get to learn the history of human evolution, stone tools, and site formation. Lake Magadi is the southernmost lake in the Kenya Rift Valley, lying in a catchment of faulted volcanic rocks. From a distance, you can see the evaporation of water from the lake that leaves a crust of sodium carbonate that is mined and exported. During the dry season, it is 80% covered by soda and is well known for its wading birds, including Flamingos. The Lake is a saline-alkaline approximately 100 square kilometers in size, that lies in a graben .It is recharged mainly by saline hot springs (temperatures up to 86°C) that discharge into alkaline “lagoons” around the lake margins, there being little surface runoff in this arid region. Enjoy your adventure on this lake and have lunch (picnic). You will depart Lake Magadi in the afternoon to drive to Lake Naivasha. In the late evening, you will check in at Lake Naivasha Panorama Hotel.

DAY 4: LAKE NAIVASHA
Lake Naivasha is a beautiful Fresh water lake fringed by thick papyrus. The Lake and its surroundings are rich in natural bounty. Most of the Lake is surrounded by forests of yellow barked Acacia or Yellow fever tree. The Forest abounds with bird life which makes it the best birding destination. The lake draws wild game like Giraffe, Buffalos, Colobus monkeys etc. and Hippos population sleep the day out in the Lakes waters. Lake Naivasha is one of the alkaline lakes of the Riftvalley. An early morning boat ride on this lake is inevitable for this is the only way to understand how the lake is a high concentration of sodium carbonate that are good breeding grounds for algae, resulting in the abundance of millions of birds. After your breakfast in the morning, at around 1000hrs enjoy a 1hour boat ride on the lake and return to the camp for lunch. After lunch relax for a few hours before your next adventure. At 1600hrs, drive to Hell’s Gate National Park which lies beside the Lake Naivasha. This Park was named for its pair of massive red tinged cliffs framing a geothermically active interior of steam vents and bubbling springs. The park is home to a profusion of plains game and birdlife. Walking is permitted, making it ideal for hiking, biking, and rock climbing. Enjoy a game drive / walk in this park and take in the beauty and wonder of nature found here. Return to the Hotel in the evening for your dinner and overnight.

DAY 5: LAKE BARINGO & LAKE BOGORIA.
This is an early day. Lake Bogoria is one of the alkaline lakes of the Great Rift Valley. It is located in the Ngendelel escarpment. On this lake you will marvel at the hot water springs/geysers found here. At this hot springs and egg or even corn can be boiled. Carry an egg to enjoy the experience and the knowledge! The hot springs are best enjoyed in the morning hours before the sun becomes hot. After early breakfast with your bags depart and drive to Lake Bogoria. Visit the hot springs and marvel at this wonder and later enjoy a game walk/drive along the lake sighting the birds and wild game found in this reserve. The Hot Springs are in four locations around the lake and one can observe at least 10 geysers, which erupt up to 5 m high. Mid morning depart Lake Bogoria and drive to Lake Baringo which another alkaline lake of the Great Rift Valley with a high population of flamingoes. You will arrive at Lake Baringo Club for lunch. In the afternoon drive to the Lake Baringo National Reserve. The Lake Baringo National Reserve’s herds of rare Greater Kudu make it unique and other game to view includes buffalo (rare), zebra, baboon, warthog, caracal, spotted hyena, impala, dik dik and many small mammals. Apart from Flamingo, of interest to the specialist will be Little Grebe, Tawny Eagle, Pratincole, Swift, Little Bee-eater, Cape-wigeon, Yellow-billed Stork, African Spoonbill, Augur Buzzard, Gabar Goshawk, Water Dikkop, Great Tit, Starling, Hornbill and Crombec. Late afternoon, depart Lake Baringo and drive to Eldoret town also in the Rift Valley enjoying the scenic beauty along this road to check in at the Hotel Comfy in the evening.

DAY 6: ELDORET – ORPHANAGE / COMMUNITY SCHOOL & MUSEUM
Eldoret is mainly an agricultural town but surrounded by a local community facing a lot of social, educational, economic and cultural challenges. To understand the challenges that surround this community you will visit a local community school and a community orphanage. This will put you in perspective of challenges the society faces at large and help you visualize what policies/strategies can be put in place to enhance the lives of the society. After breakfast, you will visit Patty’s Heart Orphanage/community school. This orphanage/community school takes care of abandoned children from a very tender age and orphaned children around the community. You will be met with the proprietor of the orphanage who will give you a short briefing on the orphanage and the children and later on introduce you to the children. Spend the better of the morning here keeping them busy with various activities games, one on one discussion, bonding and where necessary expert advice on any given scenario. Lunch will be served at your hotel. Later before departing take time for a photo session with them which shall remain in their memory and keep them encouraged! In the afternoon, you will take a drive to the Kabarnet Museum – This museum features galleries for the Rift Valley people, their culture, its environment, indigenous knowledge and science for education. It exhibits the cultures of general “Kalenjin” people, their history from pre colonial, colonial and post independence! Attractions here include Paleontological, archeological and ethnographic sites! Enjoy the knowledge. Late evening drive back to your hotel for dinner and overnight.

DAY 7: KAKAMEGA FOREST NATIONAL RESERVE
Kakamega is a world famous equatorial rainforest known for its diversity of bird and insect life. Its uniqueness makes conservation its top priority. A visit to the forest will give you a feel what the Amazon looks like. The forest is a natural wonder that has a large variety of indigenous trees as well as species of different animals and bird life. This is the only rain forest in Kenya having more than 380 different types of plants and 400 species of butterflies many of which are unique to this reserve e.g. the indigenous Mysopsis Eminee, a unique tree to this reserve has medicinal qualities believed to treat prostate cancer and stomach aches! If you are a medical students be on the alert here for this might just be breakthrough for your research! The community that leaves around this forest has a rich culture for you to explore too. This community is known for its vibrant dance “the isikuti” which is performed during special ceremonies e.g., weddings, circumcision etc. You will experience this dance while here and visit a traditional home where the culture of this community will be unveiled to you. After your early breakfast, depart Eldoret town very early and drive to Kakamega time allowing visiting the picturesque Webuye falls found along this route. Enter the reserve in good time to take a nature walk on their unique walking trails with a naturalist who will take you through the different tree types and their usage and the rare butterfly species found here. Enjoy! Lunch will be served at a local restaurant. In the afternoon enjoy a cultural visit in the community time allowing a visit to a local community school/orphanage and lastly the “the legendary weeping stone” This stone is a natural wonder – a huge rock from which a constant stream of water cascades hence its name. The community associates it with various legends and myths. Late evening check in at the Golf Hotel for dinner and overnight.

DAY 8: LAKE VICTORIA
This will be a slow day to relax specifically in readiness for the adventure in the wilderness. We will depart Kakamega after breakfast and drive leisurely to the Lake side town of Kisumu enjoying the views of Lake Victoria as you enter this town. A short visit to the Lake and depart to check in at the Lake Victoria Safari Village which has great views of Lake Victoria. Relax the day away at the Lodge with lunch and dinner served.

DAY 9: LAKE VICTORIA – MAASAI MARA GAME RESERVE
Wake up to a very early start with breakfast. After breakfast, depart Kisumu and drive to the Great Maasai Mara Game Reserve. Maasai Mara is open grassland. 95 species of mammals, amphibians, reptiles and over 400 species of birds have been recorded in this park. In Maasai Mara you will hardly miss to see the BIG FIVE. The annual wildebeest migration takes place in this park between July and October. The eco system of Maasai Mara holds one of the highest Lion densities in the world and this is where over 2 million Wildebeest, Zebras and Thomson Gazelle migrate every year. You will enjoy the drive to Maasai Mara passing various Maasai traditional homes and villages and enjoying the scenic beauty along this road to arrive at Mara Sentrim Camp in time for lunch. In the afternoon enjoy a game drive until sunset returning to the Camp in time for dinner.

DAY 10: MAASAI MARA GAME RESERVE
Spend the day in Maasai Mara Game Reserve enjoying morning and afternoon game drives. This is home to the famous Maasai people well known for their distinctive custom and dress. Early afternoon you will visit a typical Maasai village and enjoy being part of this unique culture and cultural habits that not even the western influence has been able to change. Later continue with your game drive until sunset returning to the Lodge for dinner and overnight.

DAY 11: MAASAI MARA GAME RESERVE – LAKE NAKURU LODGE
Early morning take your breakfast. After breakfast, depart Maasai Mara Game Reserve and drive to Lake Nakuru National Park. Lake Nakuru is one of the Rift Valley Soda Ash Lakes. The Lakes abundance of algae attracts the vast quantity of Flamingoes that famously line the shores. The Lake lies to the South of Nakuru in the Rift Valley and is protected by the Lake Nakuru National Park. The ecosystem of Lake Nakuru comprises of the lake, surrounded by mainly wooded and bushy grassland. The park provides for about 56 different species of mammals including the White Rhinos and buffaloes. A variety of terrestrial birds including Flamingoes are found in this park. Enjoy game viewing en route to arrive at Flamingo Hill Camp in time for lunch. Afternoon enjoy a game drive in Lake Nakuru and visit the Baboon Cliff which is a spectacular view point of the Lake. After sunset, return to the Camp for dinner and overnight.

DAY 12: LAKE NAKURU NATIONAL – NAIROBI
After an early morning game drive and breakfast at the camp, with your bags packed, you will bid Lake Nakuru “kwaheri” meaning good bye and “full of lasting safari memories”, depart Lake Nakuru and drive leisurely back to Nairobi. On arrival in Nairobi time allowing you pass via the Maasai market to shop for souvenirs’. Lunch will be served at the Panari Hotel and thereafter depending on your flight timings transferred to the Airport to board your flight. Here we bid you goodbye and wish you a most blessed flight home.
